Which software does my BuzzTV run? BuzzTV 6, BuzzTV 5, Linux or Google TV

Every BuzzTV box runs one of four setups, and it decides which guides apply to you.

Only the G-Series runs Google TV. No other BuzzTV box uses Google TV, and on every other model BuzzTV is built in rather than an app you download.

  • BuzzTV 6 OS, built in: Classic AI (Android 14) and PowerStation 6 (Android 13). You see the BuzzTV interface as soon as it powers on.
  • BuzzTV 5 OS, built in: E5, E5 Signature Edition and B5 (Android 11). You see the BuzzTV interface as soon as it powers on.
  • BuzzTV 6 Linux App, built in: L1 Linux Player. It runs Linux, not Android, so Android apps will not install.
  • Google TV plus the BuzzTV App: G-Series only. It opens on the Google TV home screen, and the BuzzTV App is a separate download from the Play Store.

How to tell in 10 seconds: a Google TV home screen with rows of apps and recommendations means a G-Series. A BuzzTV interface straight after boot means one of the others. Check the white label under the box, or Settings > About, for the exact model.
