Using the QR code to add a server from your phone or PC

Typing a long server URL and password with a remote is slow and easy to get wrong. Every current BuzzTV lets you enter them from your phone or computer instead. It works for MAC, XC and M3U.

  1. Open Server settings. On BuzzTV 6 boxes: top tabs row, navigate right for the settings popup, then Server settings. On the L1 and PowerStation 6, Servers is on the home screen.
  2. Choose the phone or PC option. Wording varies by model, but it is the one mentioning a phone, PC or QR code.
  3. Scan the QR code with your normal phone camera. No app needed. Or type the URL shown into a browser, which needs to be on the same WiFi as the box.
  4. Enter the details your provider gave you and save. They appear on the box straight away.

Tips. If it will not scan, close and reopen the QR screen to refresh the code. Paste rather than type, since avoiding typos is the whole point. Setting up several boxes? Do them one at a time, as each shows its own QR code and its own MAC.
