Why YouTube TV, Peacock and some apps don’t work

A few streaming apps are not supported on every BuzzTV box — this is controlled by Google and the app makers, not by BuzzTV.

YouTube TV

Google has restricted the YouTube TV app and no longer supports it on older Android versions, so it will not run on those boxes. (The regular YouTube app works fine once your box is updated.)

Peacock and some other apps

These are not compatible with devices that are not Google-certified.

Need these apps?

Our G Series boxes are Google-certified, so they can run these apps. If those services are important to you, the G Series is the right choice.

App install or sign-in problems

  • App settings won't open → App Info > Clear Data.
  • Google Play sign-in loop → uninstall Chrome, then retry sign-in.
  • Can't sideload an APK → Settings > Apps > Chrome > Permissions > enable Files and media.

A small focus delay on Netflix/Disney+ scene changes is normal adaptive streaming, not a fault.
